Featured in GFC’s Blog: “3 Years Straight In A GFC Camper - And No Looking Back!”
This week, we’re honored to be featured on the Go Fast Campers blog, where we share a bit more about the trip that started it all, how our setup has held up, what it’s like to live on the road full-time, and why we’re still just as stoked on this lifestyle as we were on day one.

Exploring Remote 4x4 Routes in Southern Utah
Here are some of our favorite images from a May 2025 trip that took us deep into the desert backcountry over 200 miles with more than half of those miles being off-pavement. Just the way we like it!
Be sure to check out the YouTube video from this trip too!

Our Full-Time Home on Wheels | First Gen Tundra Go Fast Camper Tour
We finally filmed a full tour of Dolores, our truck camper that we’ve been living, working, and traveling in full-time since 2022 — exploring remote backroads across North America. We built this rig prioritizing off-road capability, efficient storage, and a solar and electrical system that allows us to work from anywhere.

Here’s our full spending breakdown, how we keep costs low, and some Baja travel tips to help you plan your own road trip whether you’re going for a week, a month, or longer!
“Never Turn Down Free Calories” — Now Available!
In 2022, our dear friends Sammy and Alex Cooper set out on an incredible journey to hike the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT)—2,650 miles from Canada to Mexico. Sammy has since captured their experience in a beautifully written book titled “Never Turn Down Free Calories”, that is now available for purchase.

Behind the Lens: 2025 Calendar Images
I thought it would be fun to put together a page dedicated to sharing a little more about each of the photos that made it into our 2025 calendar, including where and when the photos were made, as well as some additional images from each location.

Rim Rocker Trail: Montrose to Moab
Finally, at the beginning of October, we got a chance to Drive the Rim Rocker Trails over the course of several days, and we couldn’t have been happier with our timing! We were treated to some amazing fall colors, and a very unexpected northern light showing!

12 Volt Starlink Conversion
After months of wanting to convert Starlink to 12-volt, we finally had time to get all the parts ordered and assembled.
Thankfully in that time, some new products have come out that made converting Starlink to 12-volt without cutting any cables much easier and simpler!
Below is a parts diagram and list for the conversion, and how we did it.

We are honored to share that one of Brian’s photographs was chosen as the cover image for the fall 2024 issue of the Overland Journal magazine! Here’s the story behind the image.

Black Hills South Dakota BDR-X
Over the course of two weeks, we traveled the Black Hills South Dakota Backcountry Discovery Route (BDR-X). The route which is roughly 350 miles long wanders along mostly unpaved forest service roads within the Black Hills National Forest. Along the way, the route goes through Custer State Park, Wind Cave National Park, and Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

Catching up with family
Arriving back at my mom’s house always feels good! This time was slightly more special than our other visits. Not that there was any single special occasion to celebrate, but we had a lot more flexibility in our return than we have had in the past.

Our Time in “the Red”
I can’t say if it was the excitement from seeing the Northern Lights the night before or looking forward to moving on our feet for the day, but we were up early and making breakfast in the trailhead parking lot…

Eastbound & running from storms!
An hour behind schedule on the morning of May 4th we left Christina's parents’ house and pointed the truck east. The plan was to take two weeks to work our way to Virginia where we would visit Brian's family. We didn’t plan our route exactly, but…

Our Favorite Gear for a Trip to Baja
Baja, like nearly all places that you would travel to, can lend itself to whatever kinda of trip that you would like. For us, Baja is wild and remote camping, waking up in the morning and snorkeling before the wind comes up. Bouncing down remote and seldom traveled roads. Paddling from our beach camp to a nearby cove.

Dolores Camper Build Remodel
This remodel was a thoughtful process inspired by many sources and guided by 3D modeling in SketchUp, helping us shape a space that truly reflects our style.

Staying Connected While Traveling
For the longest time, our largest hurdle in living life full-time on the road had been how do we stay connected so that we can work remotely from wherever we are. In this we cover how we have overcome that!

Embarking North, Part 7: Tuktoyuktuk, Northwest Territories - Palmer, AK
We are picking up where we left off in our previous blog post, putting Tuktoyuktuk in our rearview mirror and heading south along the Dempster Highway setting our sights on Palmer, Alaska!

Embarking North, Part 6: Tuktoyuktuk, Northwest Territories
You may remember from our previous blog post that, just moments before pulling into town, we met Alex and Dmitri along the side of the road. After a few moments of chatting, they invited us to follow them into town and then to the Arctic Ocean sign. This is where we will pick up our story.
