Postcards from Camp | Similkameen Valley, BC

After a few hectic weeks on the road, we found stillness on a quiet high point above the Similkameen Valley in southern British Columbia, Canada. We spent nearly a week camped up here resting, catching up on photo and video work, and soaking in the peaceful beauty around us. This area really surprised us with its arid beauty which was so different than the typical lush landscapes that British Columbia is known for.

In this postcard from camp, we share several of our favorite moments from this spot: views of mountain tops and steep golden hillsides leading down to the river below, wildfire smoke rising in the distance, a surprise encounter with a few Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes, and sunsets that lit up the sky night after night. From our campsite, we also had a view of an old mine perched into a steep hillside—a reminder of the area’s layered past.

Below are a few of our favorite images from this camp spot.
